January 11 — Representatives of the Alabama Department of Public Health, Risk Assessment and Toxicologist Branch (ADPH) spent several hours in Haleyville interviewing local people, and inspecting and gathering samples at the Haleyville landfill. An ADPH spokesperson said that a state Toxicologist will be visiting Haleyville in the near future to gather water samples for testing, and others will be notified of the results.
